DALY Qiqiang’s third generation truck start BMS is further improved!

With the deepening of the "lead to lithium" wave, starting power supplies in heavy transportation fields such as trucks and ships are ushering in an epoch-making change.

More and more industry giants are beginning to use lithium batteries as truck-starting power sources, so the demand for a truck starting BMS with strong adaptability and superior performance has become increasingly urgent.

DALY has an in-depth understanding of the demand scenario and launched Qiqiang's third-generation truck start BMS, which has achieved significant improvements in software, hardware and structural levels.

It is suitable for 4/8-strings lithium iron phosphate battery packs and 10-strings lithium titanate battery packs. The standard charging and discharging current is 100A/150A, and it can withstand a large current of 2000A at the start-up moment.

For reasons such as cost and efficiency, more and more truck drivers are choosing to rent starting batteries to meet their electricity needs. Leasing a starting battery not only helps drivers save a large one-time expenditure on purchasing a new battery, but also reduces the time cost of routine battery maintenance. This trend has promoted the creation and development of truck starter battery rental projects.

After the lithium battery is fully charged and the truck continues to drive, the truck generator will maintain power. If the continuously supplied voltage is not processed in a timely manner, the truck's central control unit may be disturbed or damaged.

The Qiqiang BMS integrates a high-voltage absorption module, which will continue to absorb excess voltage, effectively preventing high-voltage surges from the on-board generator and reducing the risk of high voltage triggering the truck's central control alarm and burning out the central control.

During long-distance driving, battery undervoltage often occurs when the truck fails to charge in time outdoors and is caused by low temperature and other complex conditions.

In response to this pain point, Qiqiang BMS is equipped with a strong start switch, which provides drivers with a weapon to deal with unexpected situations. When the battery is under-voltage, simply press the forced start switch to activate the BMS forced-start function, allowing the truck to start safely and move forward smoothly when the battery is low or low temperature and under-voltage.

In low-temperature environments below 0°C, the battery may experience various situations such as reduced charge and discharge performance.

In this regard, the third-generation Qiqiang BMS integrates a heating module. It can intelligently detect the battery temperature. When the battery temperature is lower than the set temperature, the heating will automatically turn on, effectively ensuring the normal use of the battery pack in ultra-low temperature environments.

In order to meet users' intelligent needs for lithium batteries, Qiqiang BMS adds a variety of expansion sockets and provides a richer range of intelligent management options, such as mobile APP, WeChat applet, and Li Cloud platform.

On the basis of the original intelligent expansion socket, a new UART port and DO port are added. During use, users can expand a variety of smart devices by adding new sockets according to their own needs: such as Bluetooth, 4G GPS, display, parallel module, buzzer, etc.

The third-generation Qiqiang BMS can achieve stable communication with the Bluetooth module, WIFI module, and 4G GPS module. Users can flexibly manage the battery pack through various methods such as mobile APP, WeChat applet, and Li Cloud platform.

It is worth mentioning that the third-generation Qiqiang BMS can be linked with DALY 4G GPS and communicate remotely with DALY APP through the 4G GPS module. It can check the location and historical movement track of the truck battery in real time to prevent battery theft.
